Long standing family owned business. Mostly an ice cream shop but also several food options. If you've never tried a "Jackson County Veal" (pork tenderloin sandwich) you are truly missing out! Top that off with a bubble sundae and welcome to heaven. I have been going to Michael's since I was a small kid. The consistency doesn't get any better. Has not changed one iota! They sell bubble to-go packs, which is everything you need to make your own except for the ice cream. The service is great! The ambiance is exactly what you would expect from a small town old fashioned ice cream shop

Stopped by while in Jackson and what a wonderful surprise , Thanks Yelp ! Had the " Bubble " ( chocolate syrup, marshmallow cream, vanilla ice cream surrounded with crushed nuts delicious. Service was very nice and helpful making our selection ( noted for the Bubble ) set out side on street , nice breeze just a cozy little place price was very good would recommend and will go back again for sure ! Oh did I mention it's been around since 1909 !
I was visiting from out of town and was taken here as a surprise and oh man. What an amazing experience! This place is old school diner-like. Makes you think of older times and honestly makes you really crave ice cream. When we got there I was told I have to get the Bubble. It's ice cream, chocolate sauce, marshmallow, and roasted peanuts. Guys. GUYS. Game changer. Literally a 12/10. The marshmallow and the peanuts are the real stars here. You know the best part of a Reese's? That bite you get in the middle of just pure peanut butter bliss? That's this. The ice cream and chocolate are the perfect palette helpers here but man that peanut butter marshmallow combo is where it's at! Loved it so much spoke about it for a year and made it a "we need to go there again" on my list of things to do in Ohio. Both times I've been here the staff has been absolutely lovely. Parking was easy. Street parking is available. Will talk about this dessert randomly in the near future or until I get another one (was told they can ship these ingredients for you to make your own!!!)
We always come to Michael's for a veal & a bubble when in Jackson. Our visit last week was even better than usual. A great veal, a decadent bubble, and warm, small-town service from Chloe made it particularly memorable.
Visited Jackson for the first time and tried the traditional bubble at Michael's! The ice cream and melted marshmallows with crushed peanuts were my favorite part. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back when I'm in town.
